At this release AVEVA E3D DESIGN 3.1.6.1, an option has been added to the Project options area of the product to control the quality of laser data when using the Editor. The Reduce laser quality option is available via the View > Configuration > Model Editor section of the settings menus. Where the option is set to true, on using the Editor the laser Pointcloud density is reduced until exiting the Editor mode.
The default setting is false and the setting is retained across E3D Design sessions.
