AVEVA E3D DESIGN 3.1 | What’s New – Stacked fractions

This release AVEVA E3D DESIGN 3.1.6 introduces text support for Stacked Fractions and a Stacked Fractions Mode for Imperial Units. Characters on either side of a forward slash (/) can be stacked. Further, stacking is not limited to numeric values; alphabetic characters are supported such as a#!b equates to a/b.
Three Stacked Fraction types are available:

Within general text, stacked fractions are created by the folllowing intelligent text characters:
Column #^
Horizontal #-
Diagonal #!
These characters are also available within the Text Editor as shown in the following example:

Stacked Fractions Mode for Imperial Units

The introduction of a new attribute UCODSF for Dimension Styles supports the use of stacked fractions for
imperial units. The default setting is ‘Off’ as per the following example:

This attribute will allow Draw Administrators the choice to define Dimension Styles with the Stacked
Fractions mode required to apply across drawings as per the next example:
